IPD is a holistic construction planning methodology in which all parties involved in a project work together transparently and collaboratively from the outset. IPD aims to implement a project to be realized in the most energy-efficient and resource-saving way possible using a 3D data model including databases (VDC | BIM) and the associated relevant information.

VDC
VDC uses BIM to plan the project completely digitally based on the 3D data models and other relevant information, such as time, cost and risk estimates, and to bring it to the construction site, including sustainable management (life cycle management).

BIM
Interdisciplinary, collaborative and integral - BIM uses precise 3D modelling to create a digital comparison of the planned and built project, a so-called «digital twin». With the involvement of all parties, including the client, risks and errors in these 3D data models can be recognized in the early planning phases. This transparency creates enormous planning certainty for all project participants, making planning and construction more efficient than ever before.
